IT Project Services
Migrations, refreshes, and buildouts for clients on the Velo Method®. Most projects live inside your monthly engagement and land on-time and on-budget.

Independently ranked and rated — by the platforms we build on and the clients we answer to.

An MSP closes tickets. Then the cloud migration starts, and the same engineers who staff the help desk are suddenly running your most important project. Tickets win. Milestones slip. The week-one estimate bears no resemblance to the month-six invoice.
Velo is built differently. Projects run through a standalone division with its own engineers, its own timelines, and one number we stand behind. You don't buy hours. You buy the outcome.
Claude, deployed inside an environment we already manage and secure. Guardrails, permissions, and training handled. AI your team actually uses. Scoped as its own engagement.
All the gear, none of the ownership. One predictable monthly rate, current equipment, replaced on a cycle we manage for you.
Cloud migration services for domain, files, and email. Servers retired, data verified, work never stops.
Microsoft 365 migration and tenant setup. Mailboxes, files, and identity moved right, training included.
Business VoIP phone systems on Microsoft Teams. Porting, routing, voicemail-to-email, old system retired.
Network upgrades and installation. Switching, wireless, and infrastructure designed, documented, and replaced before it fails.
Server upgrades and replacement. Virtualize, refresh, or retire the server room, scoped to your lifecycle plan.
Enterprise firewall management, configured to compliance grade and replaced before your cyber insurer asks.
Backup and disaster recovery with on-site and offsite protection, recovery testing, and insurer-ready documentation.
If it touches your environment, we can scope it.
Three ways. You know which one applies before anything starts.
Velo engagements come in three levels: Base, Accelerate, and Velocity. Higher levels cover more project work inside your monthly fee, including onboarding. For most clients, project work costs nothing beyond the monthly fee they already pay.
Refreshes and buildouts delivered as one flat monthly rate covering the hardware, the deployment work, and the lifecycle. Zero capital investment, and the gear stays current.
Specialty work outside your engagement, like low-voltage cabling or one-off buildouts, gets scoped and quoted with a fixed price before anything starts. Adjustments happen before sign-off, not mid-build.
Secure and predictable, guaranteed.
Sometimes you bring the project to your Fractional CIO (a new office, an ERP migration, an end-of-life server refresh). Sometimes it surfaces from inside the Velo Method®, when your CIO flags work on the roadmap that falls outside the managed services agreement. Either way, the project starts inside a relationship where we already know your environment.
Scoping starts with what the project needs to accomplish for your business, not just what needs to happen technically. Your Fractional CIO is in the conversation from the start.
We design the technical solution against your budget and timeline, built on what we already know about your environment.
Scope, timeline, and price before any work starts: covered by your engagement, delivered through Hardware as a Service, or quoted as a fixed-price project. Adjustments happen here, not mid-build.
Approved work moves to the Project Manager, who owns the schedule, the budget, and delivery from here to closeout.
The engineers doing the work own day-to-day communication and document every change made in your environment. You're never guessing where things stand.
All client environment documentation is updated, and the work folds back into the program that runs your IT every day.
Every project has a defined scope, a Project Manager accountable for on-time, on-budget delivery, and a cost you know before work starts. That's the commitment.
Not a migration. Not new switches. What you're buying is the end of IT decisions landing on your desk. Your Fractional CIO watches the lifecycle, Project Services executes what the roadmap calls for, and you approve the price before anything starts. You're paying us to handle it. So we handle it.
And we don't come back month after month asking for more budget. We can't afford to let your environment limp along: the fee is fixed, so the only way this model works for us is if everything actually works for you. Secure and predictable, guaranteed.

Client voices
Seven days. Pre-onboarding starts a week before your onboarding day. We gather information about your systems, coordinate with your prior provider, and handle transition planning. On onboarding day, we flip the switch and come on-site with several members of Team Velo to meet your team and identify immediate improvements.
No extended downtime. Any brief downtime required for installing our management tools is coordinated after hours and at a time that works for your business.
We run baseline assessments immediately, identify quick wins, and hold your first IT strategy meeting within 60 to 90 days. That's where we build your roadmap and set the cadence for the partnership.
We manage it. From technology planning to coordination to execution, we run the IT side of the move so you can focus on everything else.
The best fit is a business of 50 to 200 users that depends on technology to operate and treats IT as a strategic investment, not a cost line. If you're shopping on price alone, we're probably not your provider. If you want a partner who thinks like a fiduciary and measures success by your outcomes, let's talk.
