Tell us a little about yourself.
"I am originally from El Paso, TX ,the youngest of 5 children. I moved out here to go to college at TCU to major in Political Science expecting to start a career in law, but my path quickly changed to public service. I received my Master in Public Adminstration from University of North Texas and started my first job working with the Fort Worth Fire Department Administration office. My career choices eventually landed me as an IT Project Manager working for companies such as Oncor Electric, American Airlines, and 7-Eleven. I went back to school to get my Bachelors Degree in Legal Studies and my Project Management Professional Certification. I have been married for 11 years and have 2 beautiful boys. When I am not at the soccer field, playing soccer mom, I enjoy playing and coaching volleyball, running, reading and enjoying time with my family."

How did you get started in IT?

"My career in IT started when I began working as an IT Project Manager for Oncor Electric. This is where I gained the bulk of my knowledge about infrastructure and where my passion for project management took hold. Since then I have lead multi-regional, multi-million dollar infrastructure projects working with people from all over the world."

Why did you choose to work at Velo?

"I chose to work at Velo because I was tired of being "just a number" at these larger companies. Velo has a workplace culture where I feel that I can play a huge role in future growth for the organization."

What do you consider your greatest strengths?

"My greatest strengths are time management and organization. Being a full time mom, wife and employee has it's challenges. It's important to me to plan effectively, to ensure I am productive at work and fulfill my family obligations."
